All records come from official government sex offender registries across all 50 states, accessed through a registry data aggregator. Every profile in the app links directly to the official state registry record so you can verify the information at the source.

Monitored addresses are re-checked against the registry every day, with a deeper full-area verification weekly. Search results use a rolling cache that refreshes as areas are re-checked. States update their registries on their own schedules, so there can be a delay between a real-world change and its appearance in any app.

Pro monitors up to 5 addresses (home, school, a relative's house) with a custom 1–5 mile radius around each, checks them daily, and sends push notifications and detailed email alerts when a registered offender moves in, is newly registered, or moves out. You also get the Pro dashboard with alert history.

1) Make sure notifications are allowed for Offender Locator in iOS Settings → Notifications. 2) In the app's Pro tab, confirm the address's "Alerts on" toggle is green and at least one channel (push or email) is enabled. 3) Check your spam folder for emails from alerts@sexoffendersearch.com and mark them "Not spam." Subscriptions are billed through Apple. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Offender Locator Pro → Cancel. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, monitored addresses, alert history, and notification tokens. You can also email hello@sexoffendersearch.com from your account email and we'll delete it for you.

We display public records exactly as published by government registries and cannot change them. Corrections must be requested from the responsible state agency — every profile in the app has a "View official registry record" link to the right registry. Once the state updates its record, the change flows into the app automatically.

No. Registry information exists so you can make informed decisions about your own family's safety. Using it to harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone is a crime in most states and violates our Terms of Service. If you believe someone is in danger, contact law enforcement.
